When I bought my spa, I had no clue what any of this stuff was. I just followed my sales persons advice. It wasn't until six months later when I listened to my uncle who told me "they're just selling you stuff" and I changed to bromine. Then the problems started. Dry skin, cloudy water, always low pH, etc. When I added back the Energizer to the mix, everything seemed to even out. No more dry skin and the pH was locked in. Miracle in a bottle.
I've been using the frog spa system for a few years and it was just "ok". It uses minerals as well and I didn't want to switch but my local store told me I was missing out by not conditioning the water first. So they sold me this energizer and it made a big difference in my water quality and softness. The pH stays in range and I seem to use less chlorine than before. Love the water feel.
